The Marshall County Arts Cooperative’s seventeenth annual musical revue fundraiser, “In Full Color at the Replay Lounge,” will be Friday and Saturday, January 31 and February 1, at Venue 36, 1195 Pony Express Highway, Marysville. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Reserved seats are $40 and general admission tickets are $25. Student general admission tickets are $15 for those 18 and under. Tickets may be purchased online at marshallcountyarts.org or by calling 785-859-4260. Tickets may be purchased in person at the OneMaryville office, 617 Broadway, weekdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Those with reserved seats will sit at round tables close to the stage. Once inside Venue 36, there will be a special entrance to take those with reserved tickets to their seats quickly. Reserved seats also assure shorter lines than those sitting in the general admission section.
Event organizers encourage people to purchase tickets in advance.
The musical revue is the arts cooperative’s largest fundraiser. The revue’s title highlights the show’s theme. In 2017, the group performed songs that had been covered by various artists; that year the show was called “The Replay Lounge.” Since then, “at the Replay Lounge” has been included in the show’s title.
“It’s a way for people to identify the event,” said Brian Cook, a member of the vocal ensemble. “When they hear ‘at the Replay Lounge,’ we want them to connect with this popular show.”
As this year’s title suggests, “In Full Color,” all of the songs are about color.
Some of the songs include “The Rainbow Connection,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” “White Lightning,” “True Colors” and “Welcome to the Black Parade.”
An eight-member musical ensemble performs twenty-four songs in the two-act revue. Brian Cook, Mandy Cook, Ashley Kracht, Bryan Kracht, Joy Kramer, Micah Kee, Kayn Milholland and Julie Popejoy are members of the ensemble.
Others sharing their talents are Emma Blumer, Tommy Brinegar, Liam Felder, Miles Felder, Brian Fragel, Tanner Gustin, Nathan Parmentier, Todd Sandmann, Ashlee Shill and Matt Wassenberg.
Funds raised allow the arts cooperative to present professional artists throughout the county.
